PuggleFM Timeline

PuggleFM was launched on July 18th 2012

Our first website (pugglefm.com.au) was launched, along with our Facebook and Twitter page.

We initially produced 1-2 podcasts per week, but mainly concentrated on streaming family friendly music online and gaining a base following.

Late July our PuggleFM mascot Josh was created! 

2012 

10th - 12th - PuggleFM attended our very first public event and exhibited at the PBC, Pregnancy, Babies and Children's Expo in Perth with our mascot Josh the Puggle. We had over 5,000 signatures of support and had an absolute blast meeting the supportive parents of Perth.

September

September was a quiet month, as it saw Founder & CEO, Charlie Caruso spend most of it in the UK on holiday. 

6th - PuggleFM featured on page 5 feature in the Sunday Times with article titled Young mum fights to

broadcast decency

12th - PuggleFM was featured on

Channel 7's Today Tonight show,

October

14th - PuggleFM partook in our first ever photo-shoot with the incredibly talented Erin McKenzie as our photographer. Examples of her work and the efforts from the incredible models from Bump Models can be seen throughout the website, as well as in the slide show on the right.

21st - PuggleFM begun streaming its 11 podcast channels via iTunes! BIG MOMENT FOR US! We were instantly featured on the New and Noteworthy Section of iTunes!

PuggleFM launched it's new look website for PuggleFM.com.au, which allowed for easier browsing and the identification of our 11 podcast channels. The new website say our daily page views almost double overnight.

2013
November

10th - PuggleFM attended the Telethon Kids Carnival at Perth's Convention Centre, see some of the photos below and the YouTube video of the Mascots race

December

December was a month dedicated to website evaluation, as we were achieving averagely 50,000 page views per month, and had increased our podcast output by double within 6 months, producing averagely 4 podcasts per week.

The 3rd of December PuggleFM was officially endorsed as a Charity, serving the purposes for the advancement of education.

March

Charlie Caruso, Founder and CEO of PuggleFM won the Australian Service Award for Women in Business.

Additionally Charlie was also nominated for Australian of the year in March.

April

13th - PuggleFM was a Finalist in the Australian Small Business Awards for New Business and Charlie for Young Entrepreneur of 2013. The awards night were held in Sydney at the Westin and Charlie attended with her husband Matthew and had a wonderful night.

20th - After streaming our podcasts on iTunes for less that 2 months, PuggleFM managed to hit the no.1 spot on iTunes, and we have included the photographic evidence to prove it. This was a major achievement for PuggleFM as we had clocked over 10,000 downloads on iTunes within this short time space.

16th - PuggleFM was featured in the Kalamunda Reporter discussing the recent WAiTTA Award and the success of PuggleFM's maiden year.

18th - PuggleFM turned 1! That's right we made it through the first year being online, attracting an audience of over 120,000 per month from around the world, with no payments made to Google Adwords, and basically no marketing campaign! PuggleFM is looking forward to the growth, challenges and successes for its second year online! Watch this space as July 2013 is the month we hope to be launching our latest website (this one) on pugglefm.com.

 

July

2nd - Charlie Caruso was listed in STM Magazines Top 100 Best & Brightest magazine feature for her contribution to media with the creation of PuggleFM.

14th - PuggleFM was awarded the Inspiration Recognition Award by WAiTTA for its contribution to the WA ICT Industry. This award automatically put PuggleFM through to the national iAwards which will be held in Melbourne on the 8th of August.

30th - PuggleFM announced the winners of the 2013 International Junior Awards in its first ever live event, which with only a few little hiccups was a great success. Below is the full recording of the live event. Elise and Rachael from the Whats on 4 team were wonderful and the input from sponsors Konfidence and Bubbler Deals was terrific.

PuggleFM went into transition, where CEO Charlie Caruso took some time to reflect on the growth and future potential for PuggleFM.

Having decided that PuggleFM should assist all local communities, government agencies and other charities and NFP's PuggleFM found a clear goal in working to promote other NFP's thoughout the world, assisting to extend their message.
