Ryan is an Australian author, speechwriter and social commentator living in Europe. Since 2008 Ryan has worked as speechwriter to President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, and is now Spokesperson for European Commission Vice President Neelie Kroes. He has worked for Peter Garrett and Tony Blair’s government, and is a contributor to the Griffith Review. His writing has been published in 25 languages. One of the fundamental questions of today's world is undoubtedly the question of equitable globalisation.
